#TopTenTuesday – 10 Books I Can’t Believe I Read

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Ten Books I Can’t Believe I Read

Errrm, not really sure where to go with this prompt. Initially I read it as negative, as in, ten books that were just awful and I can’t believe I slogged through them. Now, I’m reading it like, ten books that were challenging to read, and I finished them wahoo! *shrugs*

Ah well, I will list a few books I wouldn’t recommend, along with the reason, and provide a link to my review of them so you can make up your own mind:

The Mine by John Heldt because there was rampant sexism, unbelievable dialogue/situations, and I was bored by it.

The Bone Witch by Rin Chupeco because I found the writing convoluted, the switch between past and present to be confusing, and I did not care one bit about the main character. I can’t even remember anything about her now.

A Most Wanted Man by John le Carre because I was expecting a spy novel. This is boring AF.

Hausfrau by Jill Alexander Essbaum because the overwrought language was irritating, the main character was annoying, and the whole thing left me throwing my hands up in the air.

That’s me finished :/

Please leave a link to your Top Ten Tuesday in the comments section below so I can see how you handled this week’s TTT! 😀
